Dhaka, April 15 -- MPs urged not to use mobile phone inside Parliament on Wednesday urged Members of Parliament (MPs) to refrain from using mobile phones and taking photographs inside the House.
The request came after Deputy Speaker Kayser Kamal, who was presiding over the sitting, drew the Chief Whip's attention to the disturbance caused by phone conversations.
The issue arose as Hamidur Rahman (Dhaka-7) was called to participate in the discussion on the President's speech, following the address by Abdul Mannan (Brahmanbaria-5).
The Deputy Speaker noted that the noise from mobile phone use was audible throughout the House, disrupting both speakers and listeners.
