Dhaka, Sept. 20 -- 4 constituency lawmaker Gazi Nazrul Islam on Sunday submitted a bail bond to a court in Dhaka in connection with an attempted murder case.

The bail bond was submitted to the court of Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Junaid.

His personal driver Obaidur Rahman filed the case with Pallabi Police Station on July 21.

Gazi Nazrul had earlier secured an eight-week anticipatory bail from the High Court on August 10 in the case.

According to the case statement, Obaidur lived at his sister's flat at Rose Garden Tower in the Kalshi area of Pallabi and worked as Gazi Nazrul's personal driver.
