Dhaka, March 25 -- Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mosleh Uddin Ahmed officially assumed charge as the new Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at a ceremony held at CID Headquarters on Wednesday.

The event also included a farewell reception for outgoing CID Chief Additional IGP Md. Sibgat Ullah.

A 15th BCS (Police) officer, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed brings extensive experience from key roles in Police Headquarters, Dhaka and Chittagong Metropolitan Police, and as Superintendent of Police in several districts.

He has also served internationally with distinction in the UN peacekeeping mission in Darfur (UNAMID).
