Dhaka, May 31 -- A mobile court jointly conducted by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) fined Ad-Din Medical College Hospital in Moghbazar Tk 300,000 on Sunday for multiple violations related to food safety, hygiene and hospital management.

The drive was led by DSCC Executive Magistrate Md Aminul Islam and carried out at Ad-Din Medical College Hospital and Monowara Hospital on Bailey Road.

During the inspection at Ad-Din Medical College Hospital, the mobile court found unlabeled and stale sweets stored in a freezer at the hospital canteen, an unhygienic kitchen environment, inadequate ventilation and natural light in different wards, and the absence of temperature monitoring devices in hospital refrigerators.
