Faridpur, June 29 -- year-old boy was found dead in a Kashbon in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur on Monday, three days after he went missing from a local fair.

The deceased was identified as Shahadat Hossain, son of Abdur Rashid of Chandrapara Puratan Ghat area and a student of a local madrasah.

Police recovered his decomposed body around 3:00pm from the Kashbon on the bank of the Arial Khan River under Charnasirpur union.

Meanwhile, locals caught five individuals suspecting their involvement in the incident and gave them a good beating before handing them over to police.

According to the victim's family, Shahadat went missing on Friday while visiting a fair organised at the trawler terminal near the Chandrapara Darbar.
