Dhaka, Sept. 2 -- BNP Standing Committee Member and Prime Minister's Political Adviser Mirza Abbas returned home on Wednesday night after undergoing treatment in Singapore and Malaysia for five and a half months.

The flight carrying Mirza Abbas landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 9:30pm.

His wife Afroza Abbas accompanied him, said BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

Earlier, thousands of party activists from different thanas, wards and affiliated organisations of the capital gathered at the airport to welcome Mirza Abbas.
