Dhaka, Aug. 30 -- BNP Standing Committee Member and Prime Minister's Political Adviser Mirza Abbas will return home on September 2 after nearly five months of treatment abroad, his wife Afroza Abbas said on Sunday.

Speaking from Malaysia, she said Mirza Abbas is coming back to Bangladesh after receiving clearance from his medical board.

"Alhamdulillah, he is returning home from Malaysia on September 2. All preparations for his return have been completed," Afroza said.

"We hope to reach Dhaka around 9:30pm on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight," she said.

Afroza said Mirza Abbas's physical condition has improved considerably, although he will need to continue treatment after returning home.
