Minister, state minister asked to lower their voices in Parliament
, Sept. 7 -- Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal on Monday was forced to ask Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Mir Shahe Alam to converse softly in the House, as it was disrupting a lawmaker's speech.
The incident occurred during a discussion on an urgent matter of public importance, moved under a notice of adjournment, when the Deputy Speaker gave the floor to Selina Sultana, a BNP lawmaker from a reserved women's seat. As she began speaking on the misinterpretation of religion, the religious affairs minister and the LGRD state minister were seen standing and talking in the chamber.
