Measles control may take 2-3 months: State Minister Muhit
Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- Health and Family Welfare State Minister M A Muhit on Wednesday said Bangladesh may need at least two to three months to bring measles under control and improve the overall situation.
"We have to work within this period, reduce the number of deaths and ensure better management," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting on the findings of research on measles among children at the auditorium of Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute in the capital.
Muhit said it will be unrealistic expectations that a long-standing problem could be resolved within a day or the following week.
