Dhaka, Aug. 18 -- BNP Standing Committee Member and Prime Minister's Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan on Tuesday said veteran journalist and writer Maruf Kamal Khan has brought back to public attention many political figures who made significant contributions to the country but were deliberately pushed into oblivion.

He said Maruf has highlighted their contributions through his writings, helping readers rediscover important aspects of Bangladesh's political history.

The BNP leader made the remarks while addressing as the chief guest the publication ceremony of Maruf Kamal's book, "Rajnitir Sodore-Ondore", at the Jatiya Press Club in the afternoon.

The book was published by publishing house Sucheepatra.
