, March 23 -- year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by some young men over a trifling matter at Berabari Dighir intersection in Mohonpur upazila of Rajshahi district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Sabbir, 21, a grocery shop owner and son of Alamgir of the area.

Modasser Khan, sub-inspector of Mohonpur Police Station, said Sabbir had an enmity with one Manjur Khan, son of a former UP chairman Abul Khan over payment of debt money.

Around 4 pm on Sunday, both Sabbir and Majur locked into a heated argument over the issue. At one stage, Manjur along with his associates stabbed Sabbir with a sharp weapon, leaving him injured.
