, Sept. 10 -- year-old man, who was set on fire while sitting in his front yard, died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Farhad Hossain Jony, son of Abdus Sattar of Moushadia village Muktagachha upazila.

Quoting victim's family, Quamrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Muktagachha Police Station, said two people suddenly appeared at their yard in Muktagachha municipality area and set fire to Farhad after pouring petrol on him around 10pm on Wednesday night.

Later, he was rushed to Muktagacha Upazila Health Complex from where he was taken to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday noon.
