Barishal, June 21 -- A man allegedly hacked his younger brother to death inside a mosque during prayers over a long-standing land dispute in Mehendiganj upazila of Barishal district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Nazrul Sardar, 35, son of Kanchan Sardar of Andarmanik village in the upazila. He returned home from Saudi Arabia two months ago.

The incident took place during Zohr prayers at Golerhat Mosque of the village, said Officer-in-Charge of Kazirhat Police Station Siddiqur Rahman.
