Dhaka, June 30 -- A man has been sentenced to 15 days' simple imprisonment for allegedly misbehaving with an on-duty traffic police officer and spreading what police described as false and misleading information on social media aimed at tarnishing the image of the Bangladesh Police.

However, the identity of the accused has not been disclosed.

According to the Traffic (Motijheel Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), the incident took place around 11:15am on Saturday in front of Abesh Hotel in Banasree B Block under Rampura Police Station.
