Cumilla, June 22 -- year-old man was seriously injured in an alleged attack by a teenage gang in Cumilla's Adarsha Sadar upazila on Sunday and is currently undergoing treatment at Cumilla General Hospital.

The incident took place around 12:30 pm near Jagannathpur Government Primary School in the Jagannathpur area.

The injured, Jahangir Hossain, is the son of late Saju Sardar of Baba Shah Bari in Jagannathpur.

According to locals, Jahangir had long been vocal against drug trafficking and the activities of teenage gangs in the area. On the day of the incident, he reportedly asked an alleged gang member, identified as Badal, not to engage in drug dealing, triggering an altercation between them.
