Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- A Dhaka court on Wednesday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing a man during snatching in Siddique Bazar area in Dhaka in 2016.

Dhaka's Sixth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Sadekin Habib Bappy handed down the verdict.

The court also fined Masum Tk 10,000, in default, to suffer one year more in jail. It acquitted Yusuf for lack of evidence.

Two sentenced to death for raping housewife in Jamalpur

According to the case statement, grocer Abdul Quddus was travelling by rickshaw toward a bus stand around 5:30am on Sept 10, 2016 when two robbers intercepted him in Siddique Bazar.
