JASHORE, May 23 -- Police arrested a man on charges of raping his daughter-in-law in Sharsha Upazila of Jashore District.

The accused, Mizanur Rahman Gahar, 65, was arrested during a joint drive conducted with the assistance of Rapid Action Battalion(RAB) from the Moheshpur area of Jhenaidah District.

Maruf Hossain, Officer-in-Charge(OC) of Sharsha Police Station, Confirmed the information by a press release.

Mizanur Rahman Gahar is the son of the late Lutfor Rahman of Ekjhala village under Sharsha upazila.

According to the case statement, the victim filed a case with Sharsha Police Station on May 9 under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
