Dhaka, Sept. 6 -- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three people, including a man accused of shooting and seriously injuring his wife at their home in Darus Salam area of the capital.

The arrestees were identified as the woman's husband, Md Abdul Mannan alias Abdul Hannan, 45, their son Md Rakib, 25, and Rakib's friend Md Hatem Mia, 21.

They were arrested during an overnight operation in Darus Salam thana area on Saturday, RAB said.

A foreign-made pistol, a magazine, two rounds of bullets and 215 yaba tablets were recovered from theier possessions.

RAB-4 Commander Lt Col Md Hafizur Rahman disclosed the information at a press briefing at the RAB Media Centre on Sunday afternoon.
