Dhaka, March 10 -- The government has decided to keep import and export activities running on a limited scale at customs houses and stations across the country during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to ensure uninterrupted trade.
According to an official notice, customs houses and customs stations will continue to process import and export-related activities from March 17 to March 23, except on the day of Eid.
The instruction was issued following a request from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) which urged the authorities to keep customs operations active during the holiday period to maintain the flow of international trade, particularly for the country's export-oriented industries.
