Rajshahi, Aug. 2 -- The government has appointed a law firm in Dubai to challenge the conditional bail granted to former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed by a Dubai court, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said on Sunday.

"We are trying to obtain a certified copy of the bail order. The Bangladesh government has appointed a law firm in Dubai to challenge the bail order," he added.

The minister made the remarks while talking to reporters after a view-exchange meeting with officials and members of Rajshahi Range Police and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police at Rajshahi Police Lines in the afternoon.
