Dhaka, Sept. 25 -- Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and President of the UN General Assembly Khalilur Rahman held a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly on September 23.

The two sides discussed issues on the session's agenda in detail.

Russia's Foreign Minister Lavrov expressed hope that the General Assembly's work during the current Session would be conducted professionally and free from politicisation, with a view to collectively finding responses to global challenges and threats, said the Russian Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday night.
