Dhaka, Oct. 13 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed has ordered strict action against drug dealers, extortionists and land grabbers, regardless of their identity or status.

"Those involved in such crimes would not be spared," the commissioner said at the monthly crime review meeting for September 2026 at the DMP headquarters on Tuesday.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) and Joint Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Md Farooq Hossain presided over the meeting, where a PowerPoint presentation outlined the crime situation during the month.

The DMP chief stressed the need to strengthen communication and cooperation between the police and the public to prevent crime.
