Kurigram, June 7 -- Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Annapurna Debnath recently visited the Dhaldanga area of Shilkhuri Union in Bhurungamari upazila, which has been severely affected by erosion caused by the Kaljani River.

During the visit, she spoke with affected residents and observed the damage caused by the river erosion.

Expressing concern over the suffering of local people, the Deputy Commissioner assured them that immediate steps would be taken to protect their homes and property.
