Dhaka, June 21 -- Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Additional Commissioner Mohammad Rashidul Islam Khan has been withdrawn apparently after controversy surrounding a viral video clip containing his remarks.

The instruction was issued in a letter signed by Additional DIG (Establishment) Raihan Uddin Khan of the Personnel Management-1 Branch of the Police Headquarters on Saturday.

According to the letter, Rashidul Islam Khan has been asked to hand over his responsibilities at his current workplace in KMP and report to the Police Headquarters by today (June 21).
