Dhaka, Aug. 5 -- Former interim government Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Wednesday described the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum as a bridge between Bangladesh's past and future, saying it has opened "a new chapter" in the nation's history by preserving the spirit of the 2024 uprising and inspiring future generations to build a better Bangladesh.

He made the remarks while addressing a discussion titled "July 36" as a special guest after the museum's inauguration.

Prof Yunus said the institution is unlike conventional museums because it documented a defining chapter of Bangladesh's history almost immediately after the events unfolded.
