Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- Mohsina Ahmed, mother of The Daily Star's Diplomatic Correspondent Tasnim Mohsin and a former official of Bangladesh Krishi Bank, died in Dhaka on Wednesday. She was 69.

She breathed her last at her Siddheswari residence in the evening.

Mohsina, wife of former Justice Abu Kawsar Ahmed, had been suffering from age-related ailments for a long time.

Her namaz-e-janaza will be held after Johr prayers on Thursday at Baitus Sujud Mosque in Siddheswari.

She will be later buried at Azimpur Graveyard.

Meanwhile, the Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of its member Tasnim Mohsin's mother.
