, Nov. 8 -- Information Commissioner SAM Mahfuzur Rahman has said journalism should prioritise ethics and responsibility rather than chasing views through misleading headlines that do not match the content of news reports.

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief discussant at the closing ceremony of a two-day training workshop titled "Future Journalism on Youth's Canvas", organised by Comilla University Press Club, on Saturday.

Criticising clickbait journalism, Mahfuzur Rahman said some headlines were deliberately written to attract views despite having little or no connection with the actual content of the reports.
