Dhaka, July 18 -- Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) President Rakibul Islam Rakib on Friday said JCD and its supporters would remain united until the Awami League is brought to justice for its alleged wrongdoings.

He made the remarks while addressing a rally in the capital's Jatrabari area marking "July 17 Jatrabari Resistance Day."

Rakib alleged that the Awami League has "nothing left to do except spread falsehoods on social media."

"As long as the Awami League is not brought to justice for its injustices, the students of the Qawmi madrasas in Jatrabari, local residents and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will remain united," he said.
