Dhaka, May 30 -- Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Saturday has relieved its Dhaka Metropolitan South unit General Secretary Abdur Rahim Bhuiya of his organisational post over specific allegations of violating party discipline.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued by JCD Office Secretary (Vice-President rank) Md Jahangir Alam.

According to the statement, the unit's Senior Joint General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Rafiq has been assigned the post of Acting General Secretary

The decision will take immediate effect in the interest of maintaining organisational dynamism and continuity, the release said.

JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir approved the decision on Saturday.
