Dhaka, June 30 -- A parliamentary delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will visit Iran to attend the funeral prayers and state mourning ceremonies of Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, scheduled to begin on July 4.

Senior Assistant Secretary of the party's Central Publicity Department Mujibul Alam confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

He said the delegation will leave Dhaka on July 3 at the invitation of the government of Iran to participate in the farewell, funeral prayers and state ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei. The delegation will remain in Iran until July 9.
