Cumilla, June 20 -- Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammed Taher, Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, said on Saturday that Jamaat leaders and activists must dedicate themselves to the welfare of society.

"Everyone must remain steadfast in fulfilling their responsibilities with courage, trustworthiness, sacrifice and organisational discipline," he said while addressing the Upazila Jamaat ward responsible conference at Dolly Resort in Chauddagram Upazila.

Dr Taher said that seeking Allah (SWT)'s satisfaction and working for the welfare of people are the primary responsibilities of an Islamic worker. He urged Jamaat leaders and activists to play a more active role in social development and public welfare.
