Jashore, July 28 -- Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held a march in Jashore town on Tuesday evening protesting the alleged attack and vandalism at the residence of Jashore-4 MP and district Jamaat Ameer Md Golam Rasul.

The procession started from the Court intersection and ended at the same spot after parading through major roads.

During the march, protesters chanted slogans demanding the arrest of those involved in the alleged attack.

Earlier, at a brief rally before the procession, Jamaat leaders alleged that the house of the district Jamaat chief and lawmaker was attacked over a "minor incident."
