Dhaka, Nov. 6 -- BNP lawmaker Ishraque Hossain on Friday vowed to continue his fight against drugs, saying that anyone involved in drug peddling has no right to do politics.

"No person involved in the drug trade has any right to do politics. If any politician is involved in drug peddling, their true face should be exposed, and they must be brought to justice. My fight against drugs will continue," he said.

Ishraque, who stepped down as a state minister last month after a video showing him brandishing firearms during an anti-drug drive went viral on social media, made the remarks while addressing a seminar in the capital.
