, Sept. 2 -- Medical services at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SHZMC) Hospital have been disrupted due to interns' strike following a clash with the relatives of a patient who died there on Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday night, 12 people were injured in sporadic clashes between the relatives of a patient and interns as a patient identified as Abdul Malek, a resident of Rajapur area in Bogura city, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The deceased's relatives alleged that he died due to wrong treatment.

An altercation broke out between the relatives and three interns over the death.

At one point, the relatives and outsiders accompanying them allegedly attacked the three interns.
