Dhaka, Sept. 2 -- Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi on Wednesday invited Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad and Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal to visit India.

"We've extended a warm welcome to the honourable Speaker and the honourable Deputy Speaker to visit India and to visit the democratic temple of democracy, Indian Parliament," he told reporters after separate meetings with the Speaker and Deputy Speaker at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

The Indian envoy also conveyed greetings to Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad and Deputy Speaker Kayser Kamal from Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament.
