Dhaka, Sept. 5 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir on Saturday urged students to build themselves as individuals with honesty, morality and human values.

"Merit helps a person move forward, but honesty, humanity and moral values make a person truly great," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a scholarship distribution ceremony for children of police personnel who secured GPA-5 in the SSC, HSC and equivalent examinations in 2024 and 2025.

Police Headquarters organised the programme at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium at Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital. The scholarships were funded by the Bangladesh Police Welfare Trust.
