Dhaka, May 23 -- The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) on Saturday honoured engineer-members of parliament elected to the 13th Jatiya Sangsad at a reception marking the closing ceremony of its 78th founding anniversary, celebrated as Engineers Day.

The event, held at the IEB auditorium at its headquarters in Ramna, Dhaka, also recognized Dr Engineer Mohammad Abdul Baki, recipient of the Independence Award 2026 for his contributions to research and training.

Engineer-MPs felicitated at the event included Engineer Md Ashraf Uddin (Bakul), MP for Narsingdi-5; Engineer Moinul Islam Khan, MP for Manikganj-2; and reserved-seat MPs Engineer Sanzida Islam (Tuli), Engineer Mahbuba Hakim Camelia and Engineer Mardia Momtaz. The guests wer...
