Dhaka, July 5 -- Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed left Dhaka New York, USA, to attend the 5th United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS V), to be held at the United Nations Headquarters.

He departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1:40 am by an Emirates flight, according to an official release.

The two-day summit, scheduled for July 7-8, will bring together police leaders from around the world to discuss key issues related to UN policing and peacekeeping.

The Home Minister is leading a five-member Bangladesh delegation that includes Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir.
