Dhaka, May 25 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours starting from 9am.

According to a Met Office bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning flashes, are likely at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

Besides, rainfall is likely at a few places in Dhaka and Chattogram divisions, and at one or two places in Khulna and Barishal divisions.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours until 6am on Monday was recorded in Feni at 101mm.
