, July 12 -- Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury on Sunday said the government will continue taking legal action against those accused of looting public money and laundering it abroad, reiterating that there will be no compromise with the offenders.

Responding to a supplementary question from independent MP Rumeen Farhana (Brahmanbaria-2) in Parliament, he said cases have already been filed against many individuals, while investigations are underway.

"I have already informed Parliament of the measures being taken. Many cases have been filed, investigations are continuing, and the process of seizing the properties of many accused persons is already underway," the minister said.
