Dhaka, Sept. 9 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Wednesday said the government is undertaking necessary reforms and modernisation of existing policies and management system to make field administration more citizen-friendly, transparent, service-oriented and accountable.

Replying to a question from Chapainawabganj-3 MP Md Nurul Islam during the Prime Minister's question-answer session in Parliament, Tarique said the government is placing special emphasis on simplifying services, using digital technology, monitoring performance, handling complaints, inspections and supervision, public hearings, implementation of the Right to Information Act and improving the quality of citizen services.
