Dhaka, July 7 -- Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu on Tuesday said the government has taken all necessary preparations to deal with flood and landslides in different parts of the country.

"We have overall preparedness to deal with the situation. At this moment, there is no major concern," he told reporters the Secretariat in response to questions about floods and landslides triggered by heavy rainfall in different parts of the country.

Referring to the recent landslide in Cox's Bazar that claimed nine lives, he said the district administration was instructed immediately to provide necessary assistance to the victims.
