Dhaka, July 1 -- level government delegation on Wednesday inspected several proposed sites for alternative bus terminals and temporary bus depots, as part of the government's plan to ease traffic congestion in the capital and improve the public transport system.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, at a meeting on modernising Dhaka's traffic management and easing congestion held at the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat on June 15, directed the authorities to relocate the capital's four major bus terminals as quickly as possible.

The inspection began around 3:00pm, BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan said.

The delegation first visited Sector 19 of Purbachal and then Diabari of Uttara.
