Dhaka, Sept. 2 -- The government has cancelled the remaining contractual tenures of the managing directors (MDs) and chief executive officers (CEOs) of three state-owned banks.

Separate notifications issued by the Financial Institutions Division (FID) under the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday confirmed the cancellation of appointments at Agrani Bank PLC, BASIC Bank PLC, and Bangladesh Development Bank PLC (BDBL).

Md Anwarul Islam was removed as MD & CEO of Agrani Bank PLC, while Md Kamruzzaman Khan from BASIC Bank PLC and Md Jashim Uddin from BDBL.
