Dhaka, May 15 -- The government has appointed new vice-chancellors (VCs) to 11 public universities as part of an ongoing reshuffle in university leadership.

The Ministry of Education issued separate gazette notifications to this end on Thursday.

The universities which get new vice-chancellors are: BUET; Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) in Gazipur; Islamic University; University of Barishal; Noakhali Science and Technology University; Comilla University; Rangamati Science and Technology University; Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University; Jamalpur Science and Technology University; Pabna University of Science and Technology; and Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University.
