Dhaka, March 11 -- Noting that modern urban management is not possible without smart traffic systems, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Ali Hossain Fakir on Wednesday said future traffic management in Bangladesh must be technology-driven.

"Global experience shows that modern cities cannot function efficiently without smart traffic management," he said while addressing a daylong workshop titled "Urban Traffic Management in Dhaka: Challenges, Innovations and Future Directions" at the Police Staff College Bangladesh in the capital as the chief guest.
