Fund agreement signed for US$70-million GREEN project
Dhaka, June 3 -- A subsidiary loan and grant agreement was signed on Wednesday for the implementation of the "Growth for Climate Resilient and Environmental Entrepreneurship and Nutrition (GREEN)" project to promote climate-resilient agriculture, environment-friendly entrepreneurship and improved nutrition in the country.
The agreement was inked between the Finance Division and Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) at the Secretariat.
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will finance US$70 million through the Government of Bangladesh to implement the project across the country from 2026 to 2031, with priority given to selected regions based on poverty, climate vulnerability and agricultural potential.
