Dhaka, Sept. 21 -- Prices of all four major liquid fuels changed several times between January and September this year, with the latest hike of Tk 20 per litre taking effect from Monday.

With the latest revision, fuel prices have risen by up to nearly 36 percent from their January levels.

According to data from the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, diesel was sold at Tk 102 per litre in January this year, kerosene at Tk 114, petrol at Tk 118 and octane at Tk 122.

Under the latest rates effective Monday, prices have risen to Tk 135 per litre for diesel, Tk 155 for kerosene, Tk 160 for petrol and Tk 165 for octane.
