Dhaka, July 5 -- French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet on Sunday reaffirmed France's commitment to strengthening its partnership with Bangladesh, expressing interest in expanding French support and exploring new financing instruments through the French Treasury.

The Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury at his office at the Secretariat and discussed issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the Finance Minister on the successful passage of the first national budget of the new government.
