Dhaka, Sept. 20 -- Police have produced four people arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of Yashat Shahriar Opratim, the only son of Cumilla University (CoU) Bangla Department Associate Professor Dr Nahida Begum, before a court on Sunday evening.

The accused are Saiful Islam Tuhin, Mozammel Hossain Fahad, Md Kamrul Hasan and Siam.

Public Prosecutor of the Cumilla District and Sessions Judge's Court Advocate Kaimul Haque Rinku said the accused were produced before the court in the sensational murder case and agreed to give confessional statements.

Following the legal procedure, a magistrate gave them three hours to reflect before recording their statements, he said.
